Heather Moss, creator/director of Talk the Talk, is a native New Yorker who received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing sciences from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.

Heather currently maintains certifications from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), a NY state licensure and is certified as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Heather is also Prompts for Restructuring Oral-Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) trained.

Heather has a wealth of experience working with pre-school and elementary school children and her experience spans across the globe. In both the USA and Australia, Heather has provided speech and language services for pre-school and school aged children, in public and private school environments, daycare centers and in the comfort of their own home.

In her free time, Heather enjoys dancing, traveling, being active and playing with her puppy Keano.

I have an 11 year old son, Sam, with autism spectrum disorder and language delay. Heather worked as Sam’s speech therapist/pathologist.

I was always impressed with Heather’s professionalism. She set out clear speech goals each year and worked with Sam’s teachers to ensure the best outcomes for him. Heather taught Sam through play and activities, with the focus not just on speech but on all aspects of communication, such as social play, listening skills and conversation skills. She was always pleasant and punctual and even when Sam was having a less co-operative day, her enthusiasm never wavered!

I can heartily recommend Heather to other parents seeking a speech pathologist.
